Bandits Kill Six Hostages in Southern Kaduna Despite Ransom

In a tragic incident in Kutaho Village, Kagarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State, bandits killed six hostages despite ransom payments made by their families. The attack occurred on February 9, 2026, leaving the community in distress.

The deceased victims were identified as Fridai Agama, Kunama Dogo, Tanko Lami, and William, among others. Families reportedly pooled resources to meet the ransom demands, but their efforts were in vain as the victims were murdered.

Two survivors, Ishaya Iliya and Dauda, were released and are currently receiving medical attention for injuries and trauma sustained during their captivity. This incident has reignited concerns over the persistent security crisis in Southern Kaduna, with local leaders urging the federal government and security agencies to intensify operations to protect vulnerable communities.
