Kaduna Police Arrest Six Suspected Kidnappers in Ikara

The Kaduna State Police Command announced the arrest of six suspected kidnappers in Ikara Local Government Area. The arrests occurred following credible information from a kidnap victim who escaped captivity and reported his abduction to the police on Tuesday.

The victim identified a house belonging to Ja’e Samalu, 65, of Dogon Pako Village, as the location of his captivity. In response, the Ikara Police Division mobilized officers and collaborated with local vigilante members to raid the identified location, resulting in the arrest of suspects aged between 20 and 65.

The police spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody while investigations are ongoing to determine their individual roles in the crime. CP Muhammad Rabiu commended the operatives and the public for their timely information and urged residents to remain vigilant against criminal activities, warning them to be cautious of potential hideouts for kidnappers in residential areas.
