CDCFIB to Reopen Recruitment Portal for Drug Tests

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announced it will reopen its recruitment portal from October 28 to November 13, 2026. This reopening is for candidates who have successfully completed the medical and oral interview stages to check their recruitment status and obtain codes for mandatory drug tests.
Maj. Gen. A.M. Jibril (Rtd.), Secretary to the Board, clarified that this is not a new recruitment exercise but a continuation of the ongoing process aimed at recruiting 30,000 personnel into Nigeria’s four paramilitary services.
Candidates who qualify must visit the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) offices in their states for the drug test, which will be free of charge. Results will be available immediately, allowing successful candidates to proceed to Abuja for their appointment letters, contingent on meeting all other requirements.
A certificate confirming freedom from illegal drug use will be mandatory for collecting appointment letters.
