JUST IN: Document Exposes Wike’s False Claim on PDP NEC Meeting, Ibadan Convention

A recent document has exposed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike's false claim about his participation in the People's Democratic Party (PDP) affairs. Wike had denied knowledge of the upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and the planned national convention in Ibadan.

However, a letter dated July 10, 2025, signed by the party's National Secretary Senator Samuel Anyanwu, formally invited Wike to the 101st NEC meeting scheduled for July 24, 2025, at the party's national secretariat in Abuja. The document, stamped by Wike's office on July 18, acknowledged receipt, contradicting his assertion of not being invited.

Wike had dismissed reports of the convention on a television program, claiming that no NEC meeting had been agreed upon for Ibadan. The PDP has announced an organizing committee for the elective national convention scheduled for November 15-16 in Ibadan, chaired by Adamawa.
