Opposition Summit in Abuja to Unite Against Tinubu

The Summit of Opposition Political Parties took place at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, attended by notable figures including Donald Duke, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, and Adewale Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party. Former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu was also present.

The event was convened by the political pressure group G-100, with the objective of forming a united opposition front to challenge Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Other attendees included Lawal Daura, the vice presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement; Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of the PRP; and Usman Bugaje, the vice presidential candidate of the SDP.

Salihu Lukman, the G-100 Convener, welcomed the dignitaries and urged opposition parties to set aside their differences to work towards a common goal for Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of collaboration without requiring any party to dissolve.
