APC Chieftain Critiques 2027 Campaign Council Composition

Cletus Obon, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, expressed concerns regarding the party's 2027 presidential campaign council during an interview on Arise Television. He claimed that the inclusion of certain members was merely an act of patronage, suggesting that these individuals do not possess the qualifications or relevance needed for the campaign's objectives.

Obon acknowledged that the party may not have made optimal decisions in forming the campaign team, indicating that strategic errors are apparent in the list of council members. He stated, “As an APC member, I can say we may not have made our best choices in the general composition of the campaign list.

We may be reserving our best for the worst; there are strategic errors in the list. Most members of the campaign council have no business being there; some of them were put there as an act of patronage.”.
