Fubara Signs ₦1.8 Trillion 2026 Budget into Law

Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara has officially signed the state’s ₦1.8 trillion 2026 Appropriation Bill into law. This follows the bill's unanimous passage by 26 lawmakers during a resumed sitting of the Rivers State House of Assembly in Port Harcourt.

The approved budget is designed to cover the fiscal year that concludes on September 2, 2027. The legislative approval marks a significant step in the state's financial planning and governance, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the assembly members in the budgetary process.
