JUST IN: Peter Obi Won Rivers State in 2023 – Rotimi Amaechi

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, revealed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate, won the presidential election in Rivers State. Amaechi made this statement during a discussion at the X Space on Saturday, acknowledging Obi's victory in the state.

This declaration comes amidst the controversy surrounding the outcome of the February 2023 presidential election in Rivers State, where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner. Amaechi also disclosed that former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, initiated talks that led to the formation of an opposition coalition aimed at challenging the ruling party in the 2027 election.

The coalition includes prominent political figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Senate President David Mark, among others, who have since adopted the African.
