Explosion at Plateau Petrol Station Kills Two, Injures Three

On Saturday, an explosion occurred at the Natti Petroleum Investment Nigeria Ltd petrol station located in Daffo District, Bokko Local Government Area, Plateau State. The Plateau State Police Command, through SP Alfr Alabo, confirmed that two individuals died and three others sustained injuries due to the explosion.

Initial reports mistakenly suggested that the explosion was a bomb blast, which the police clarified was false. The incident was determined to be an industrial accident that happened during repair work on an underground storage tank at the petrol station.

The police emphasized that the misleading reports could cause panic among the public and urged caution against alarmist narratives circulating about a bomb blast and potential violence in the state.
