KACRAN Proposes Peace Plan Amid Bandit Attacks in Nigeria

The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), led by National President Hon. Khalil Mohammed Bello, condemned the recent surge of bandit attacks in Zamfara, Sokoto, and Katsina states.

The association described the killings, abductions, and burning of civilians as inhumane and a significant threat to Nigeria’s food security. In a statement issued on Monday, KACRAN expressed deep sorrow and outrage over reports of night raids, mass killings, and the kidnapping of women and children.

The association called for an immediate cessation of violence and urged bandits to engage in dialogue and release hostages unconditionally. KACRAN also warned against extrajudicial killings of pastoralists, emphasizing that not all Fulani individuals are bandits.

The group appealed to Northern leaders and the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to adopt its National Peace Roadmap, which focuses on dialogue and community engagement, asserting that peace could be restored within three to four months with political will.
