Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Addresses Bandit Attacks in Kano

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf condemned the recent bandit attacks that occurred in four local government areas of the state. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa, on Wednesday, Yusuf expressed sympathy for the victims and their families, labeling the incidents as deeply disturbing and unacceptable.

He assured the affected communities that his administration is implementing necessary measures to strengthen security and protect lives and property. The governor directed relevant authorities to enhance surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response mechanisms in the impacted areas.

He urged residents to remain calm and avoid actions that could escalate tensions, while also encouraging them to cooperate with security personnel by providing credible information to prevent further attacks and apprehend the perpetrators. Yusuf praised security personnel for their efforts and called for sustained intelligence-led operations to safeguard vulnerable communities.

He prayed for the deceased, wished for the speedy recovery of the injured, and emphasized his administration's commitment to ensuring peace and security across Kano State.
