Kaduna Business School Certifies 110 Agribusiness Entrepreneurs

The Kaduna Business School, in partnership with AGRA and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), certified 110 entrepreneurs as part of an effort to strengthen Nigeria's agribusiness ecosystem. The graduation ceremony, which took place simultaneously in Kaduna, Nasarawa, and Niger State, marked the successful completion of the maiden cohort of the Agribusiness Development Services program.

Dr. Godswil Aguiyi, AGRA's Country Director, emphasized the program's significance in transforming agriculture and increasing food production.

He noted that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) contribute 46.32% to Nigeria's GDP and provide nearly 87.9% of nationwide employment. Dr.

Fatima Tijani, Kaduna State Commissioner for Agriculture, highlighted the importance of the training in fostering innovation and leadership in the agricultural sector. Other officials, including Umar Tanko Tunga and Ameh Omagwu, reiterated the need for continued support for agribusiness to drive economic growth.
