Uba Sani Pledges Fair Compensation for Demolished Properties

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, has committed to ensuring that no property will be demolished without fair compensation. He made this pledge while announcing the distribution of compensation cheques to households affected by the construction along a 15-kilometer ring road corridor, specifically at Danbushiya Junction and Millennium City.

The governor acknowledged the challenges faced by affected households and emphasized the moral obligation to balance public interest with individual rights. He noted that the distribution of cheques is not an act of charity but a matter of justice and restitution, enabling affected households to rebuild and relocate with dignity.

The governor's administration has disbursed approximately N3 billion in compensation to around 189 households in Rigasa, 120 in Mahuta, 282 in Magajiya, 14 in Audi, 86 in Kako, and 33 along the Kabala Costain corridor. He reiterated the commitment to a transparent and equitable compensation process throughout Kaduna State.
