Tinubu Orders Manhunt After Kaduna Killings

In response to a violent attack in Kaduna State that occurred in the early hours of Monday, which claimed the lives of about 30 residents, including women and children, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed a manhunt for the perpetrators. The attack also involved the burning of several houses.

In a statement released on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the assault was described as an unprovoked act of terror against defenseless citizens. President Tinubu expressed his condolences to the bereaved families, Governor Uba Sani, and the people of Kaduna State.

He assured that the Federal Government is committed to addressing security challenges nationwide and has instructed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to enhance operations in the affected areas to track down the attackers, secure the release of any abducted individuals, and restore normalcy. The President urged local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence.
