Kaduna Government Condemns Attack, Orders Manhunt for Killers

The Kaduna State Government condemned the killing of approximately 30 individuals in Naridon Village, Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, describing the attack as barbaric. The incident, which occurred on the border between Kaduna State and Ganawuri in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulted in numerous injuries and significant property destruction.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, the government expressed deep sorrow over the attack and instructed security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators. Governor Uba Sani extended condolences to the victims' families and prayed for the deceased's souls and the recovery of the injured.

He also directed the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) to provide immediate relief materials and humanitarian assistance to those affected. The government reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Plateau State Government and other stakeholders to enhance security and restore peace along the Kaduna–Plateau border.

Residents were urged to remain calm and support security efforts.
