17 More Suspects Arraigned in Kaduna Mob Killing Case

The Kaduna State Police Command has arraigned 17 additional suspects related to the mob killing of a woman in Maraban Jo, Igabi Local Government Area. This development was disclosed by the command's public relations officer, Mansir Hassan, in a statement issued on Friday.

The arraignment occurred on June 25, 2026, following preliminary investigations. In total, 33 suspects have been charged with criminal conspiracy and unlawful assembly.

Meanwhile, 30 individuals previously arrested were released after investigations confirmed their non-involvement in the crime. The police are continuing their investigations to identify and apprehend others involved in the mob action.

Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu reaffirmed the command's commitment to ensuring justice for the victim and maintaining peace across Kaduna State, urging residents to remain calm and law-abiding while providing credible information to support ongoing investigations.
