Uba Sani Approves ₦3.659 Billion for Kaduna Pensioners

On September 23, 2026, the pensioners' union in Kaduna State, represented by Chairman Aboman Ladan and Secretary Alhassan Balarabe Musa, expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for his commitment to their welfare. The union noted that the recent release of entitlements, covering 1,339 beneficiaries under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) and Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), has brought joy to many homes.

Since assuming office in May 2023, Governor Sani has overseen the cumulative payment of ₦21.455 billion to 9,683 beneficiaries. Last week, he approved ₦3.659 billion for pension, gratuities, and death benefits, which includes ₦515 million for 210 Local Government retirees under the DBS and ₦3.144 billion for 1,129 beneficiaries under the CPS.

This intervention reflects the administration's commitment to addressing outstanding pension liabilities and ensuring the sustainability of Kaduna State’s pension system.
