N177bn Road Project to Boost Birnin Gwari Economy

The ongoing reconstruction of the 122-kilometre Mando-Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, a N177bn project, is set to unlock significant agricultural and commercial potential in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Dr Salisu Isah, the council chairman, stated that the project would reconnect communities, facilitate agricultural produce movement, attract investments, and create employment opportunities for thousands of residents who have faced years of poor connectivity and insecurity.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially flagged off the reconstruction, which Isah described as an economic intervention capable of transforming the fortunes of the area. He emphasized that the road is crucial for farmers, traders, and students to access essential services.

Isah expressed gratitude for the project, noting it fulfills a long-standing aspiration of the community. He also acknowledged Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for supporting federal efforts with local projects, including the reconstruction of the 36-kilometre Bagoma-Gagumi Road.
