Kwankwaso Praises Tinubu for Rescuing 176 Abducted Kwarans

Musa Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Director of Finance at the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, commended President Bola Tinubu for the successful rescue of 176 residents from Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State. The residents were abducted on February 3, 2026, and their rescue, executed by the Nigerian military, concluded nearly six months of suffering for their families.

Kwankwaso's commendation was made in a statement released on Thursday and shared with PUNCH Online. He emphasized that this operation reflects Tinubu's commitment to addressing the nation's security challenges.

The Kwara State Government also announced the rescue on its official Facebook page, calling it a significant breakthrough. Kwankwaso urged the opposition to recognize government efforts in tackling insecurity and expressed confidence that Northerners would support Tinubu's re-election in 2027 due to his achievements.
