KSCHMA Reviews Strategic Plan to Enhance Kano Healthcare

The Kano State Contributory Health Management Agency (KSCHMA) initiated a two-day technical workshop to review its five-year strategic plan, part of efforts to enhance healthcare delivery in Kano State. The workshop, held at Fab Hotel in Zaria, was supported by the FCDO Laifaya Project and aimed to bring together agency management and technical personnel to evaluate the strategic plan framework.

The objective was to address identified gaps and prepare realistic cost estimates for operational activities while validating key performance indicators for the next five years. Dr.

Rahila Aliyu Muktar, speaking on behalf of the Executive Secretary, emphasized the importance of this exercise in building a resilient and efficient healthcare system capable of meeting the needs of Kano residents. Hajiya Amina Sani Usman noted that the review of the strategic plan reflects KSCHMA's commitment to supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's vision for a people-centered government and stronger public institutions.

The workshop is expected to continue detailing operational costs and reviewing performance indicators for the strategic plan's final implementation framework.
