Kano Hisbah Seizes Alcohol Being Transported from Lagos

The Kano Hisbah Board intercepted a vehicle transporting alcohol from Lagos to Kano, seizing a consignment of assorted alcoholic beverages. Deputy Commander General Mujahideen Aminuddeen confirmed the operation, which was prompted by intelligence indicating the illicit transportation.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested, and investigations are underway to apprehend the sender. This interception is part of the Hisbah Board's efforts to enforce Islamic law and curb the circulation of alcohol in the state.

Previously, the Hisbah Board and Kano State Road Traffic Agency intercepted three truckloads of beer, impounding 410 cartons of alcohol worth millions of naira.
