Doctor Dies 15 Minutes After Arriving at Kano Hospital

On a Saturday, a tragic incident occurred at Arewa Surgery Hospital in Kano when Dr. Ibrahim, who was scheduled to consult patients, collapsed shortly after arriving.

Suleiman Harbo, an aide to the Jigawa State governor, was present with his elderly mother, who was among six patients over 80 years old waiting for consultation. After being informed that Dr.

Ibrahim was unavailable, Harbo contacted the hospital to inquire about the delay. The receptionist assured him that Dr.

Ibrahim would arrive shortly after observing the Maghrib prayer. Upon arrival, Dr.

Ibrahim suddenly became dizzy and collapsed. Medical personnel rushed him to the emergency unit, but he was pronounced dead within 15 minutes.

Harbo expressed deep shock and pain over the incident, noting that patients were devastated by the loss. He recalled his mother’s immediate reaction upon hearing the news and her subsequent prayers for the deceased physician.
