Kano Police Arrest Three Suspected Vehicle Thieves

The Kano State Police Command arrested three suspected vehicle thieves and recovered one suspected stolen motor vehicle and four tricycles during intelligence-led operations. These operations were conducted under the directive of Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, focusing on proactive policing and inter-state cooperation.

The first operation occurred after a tricycle rider, Abubakar Ali, reported that a passenger, 23-year-old Muhammad Sani, tricked him into leaving his tricycle and drove away with it. Following this report, police arrested Sani and later apprehended another suspect, 33-year-old Aminu Saad, in Katsina State, recovering four stolen tricycles linked to the same syndicate.

In a separate operation, 23-year-old Isah Yusuf was arrested on July 25 for possessing a maroon Pontiac vehicle without a registration number, which was later discovered to be stolen from Taraba State. The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the officers for their professionalism and urged the public to report suspicious activities.
