Bayero University Kano to Impound Stray Animals on Campus

Bayero University Kano has issued a warning regarding the presence of stray animals on its campus, stating that it will begin to impound any such animals found roaming freely. The announcement was made by Lamara Garba, the university's Director of Public Affairs, on behalf of the registrar.

The university's management emphasized that keeping stray animals within the university premises is strictly prohibited and poses environmental and health safety concerns. The directive is part of an effort to enforce existing housing regulations and maintain hygiene across staff quarters.

The university has urged residents to comply with guidelines that permit a minimum number of domesticated animals, ensuring they are properly confined. The security division will commence the immediate arrest and impounding of stray animals, and owners will be identified and held accountable according to the university's regulations.

Failure to comply with these directives may result in appropriate sanctions for those found in violation.
