KASU VC Rejects Claims of Outdated University Curricula

Professor Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, the Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), dismissed the assertion that Nigerian universities operate outdated curricula during the 5th International Conference on "Development Challenges and Opportunities for Nigeria: The Quest for Sustainable National Transformation," held on Monday. He urged students and lecturers to utilize available opportunities for academic and professional growth.

Professor Musa stated that Nigerian universities are aligned with global trends, supported by regular conferences and workshops aimed at updating academic programs. He noted the increasing acceptance of Nigerian graduates by international institutions as evidence of the educational system's effectiveness.

Musa highlighted that KASU invested over 500 million naira last year to upgrade laboratory facilities and improve infrastructure, including the establishment of an artificial intelligence laboratory and enhanced internet access. He also mentioned the acquisition of a modern language laboratory by the French Department to improve teaching and learning.
