APC Aspirant Ahm Saleh Alleges Election Manipulation

Ahm Saleh, an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Bindawa Federal Constituency in Katsina State, has alleged manipulation in the primary election held on Saturday. Despite emerging as a consensual candidate after consultations with stakeholders, Saleh claims that his mandate was stolen.

He stated that the primary process was flawed, as he was twice endorsed by stakeholders from the Bindawa Local Government Area. However, the outcome was overturned shortly after the election, which he claims was characterized by a lack of genuine voting.

Saleh accused Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and other stakeholders of excluding him from the process and alleged financial inducement, including bribery. He expressed loyalty to the APC and criticized the governor's actions as unfair.

The governor's director of media, Maiwada Dammalla, dismissed Saleh's allegations, asserting that the governor did not have the constitutional power to order the arrest of any aspirant.
