Katsina Boosts MSMEs With Industrial Hubs, Market Linkages, UNDP Partnership

Katsina State government is enhancing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through industrial hubs and market linkages in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The initiative aims to improve access to markets, finance, and modern facilities for entrepreneurs.

The Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA) conducted an MSME census to map business clusters across the state, facilitating market linkages within Katsina, Northwest Nigeria, and the wider African region. The state has established an Industrial Development Centre in Katsina, providing entrepreneurs with access to machinery at subsidized rates.

Additionally, two more centers are being developed in Daura and Funtua zones to benefit the entire senatorial district. The centers have already facilitated the export of products like bean powder and akara to Europe and the United States, showcasing the state's commitment to supporting MSMEs for sustainable economic growth.
