Katsina Upgrades 206 PHCs to Combat Malnutrition and Enhance Healthcare

Katsina State has upgraded 206 Primary Health Care Centres (PHCs) out of 300 approved to combat malnutrition and enhance healthcare services. The state government launched the Conflict Prevention Crisis Response Resilience (CPCRR) project to address malnutrition by boosting food production and rural health services.

In response to insecurity affecting farming and essential services, the state procured 400 tractors, with 10 allocated to each local government area, to support agricultural productivity during the rainy season. This initiative aims to reduce hunger and improve food production across Katsina State, complementing efforts to combat malnutrition and strengthen healthcare services.
