Katsina Governor's Aide Suspended Over Kidnapping Case

Nura Aliyu Garwa, a senior special assistant to the Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has been suspended following allegations of his involvement in the kidnapping of an eight-year-old boy in Katsina Metropolis. The suspension was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by Bala Salisu Zango, the Katsina State Commissioner for Information and Culture.

The governor expressed his concern regarding the alleged involvement of a public figure in such criminal activities and acknowledged Garwa's interest in contesting for a seat in the Katsina State House of Assembly to represent the Batsari Local Government Area. The Katsina State Police Command has previously arrested suspects linked to the kidnapping syndicate responsible for the abduction of the boy in Sardauna Estate, Katsina Metropolis.

The governor commended the police and security agencies for their ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure public safety in the state.
