Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper in Kwara State

The Kwara Police Command arrested a suspected kidnapper, Muhamodu Sanni, while he was attempting to withdraw ransom money associated with a kidnapping incident that occurred on July 28. The police's intelligence-driven investigation revealed that armed men had abducted three residents during the attack.

Following the incident, investigators expanded their focus to include the communication and financial networks supporting the kidnappers. SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi stated that this approach led to Sanni's interception at a Point of Sale (POS) outlet.

During interrogation, Sanni allegedly disclosed information about other members of the criminal group, identifying two suspects as Aminu and Umar. The Kwara Police Commissioner, Ojo Adekimi, assured residents of ongoing efforts to target criminal networks and encouraged them to provide timely information to aid in preventing such operations.

The investigation remains discreet, with further operational actions anticipated as intelligence is analyzed.
