Katsina Residents Demand Urgent Repair of Key Road

Residents of Dutsen-safe in Katsina Local Government Area, Katsina State, are urging Governor Dikko Umaru Radda to urgently reconstruct the deteriorating Dutsen-safe-Yarkutungu road. The road, which connects the community to Yarkutungu market, has significantly deteriorated over the years, complicating movement for motorists and residents, particularly during the rainy season.

Babangida Abba, a local resident, highlighted the road's poor condition as hazardous, causing accidents and economic hardship. Fatima Khalid, a trader, noted that the road becomes nearly impassable when flooded, leading to increased criminal activity.

Other residents, including James Chukwu and Mohammed Idris, echoed these concerns, emphasizing the financial losses incurred due to vehicle repairs and the negative impact on commercial activities. They are appealing for the road's inclusion in the governor's ongoing urban renewal projects to improve accessibility and enhance living conditions in the area.
