Kebbi APC Suspends State and Local Party Chairmen

The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended its state chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, along with the chairman of Zuru Local Government Area, Hon. Aliyu Abubakar Abiola.

This decision was announced in a statement signed by Alhaji Sa Idu Muhammad Kimba, the state party secretary, and made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi. The suspensions follow complaints from stakeholders within the Zuru emirate, citing a "lukewarm attitude" towards party activities, inadequate engagement with critics, and a lack of mobilization efforts.

The statement indicated that there was non-compliance with established party principles and procedures. A thorough internal review was conducted, leading to these disciplinary actions.

The suspensions take immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice. Additionally, Alhaji Kabir Usman Alaramma, the chairman of the Kebbi State Commission for Livestock Development and Fisheries, was also suspended from office.
