Kebbi APC Suspends State Chairman and Local Chairman

The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) announced the suspension of its state chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, and the chairman of Zuru local government area, Aliyu Abubakar Abiola. The decision was communicated through a statement signed by the state party secretary, Alhaji Sa Idu Muhammad Kimba, and made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.

The suspensions followed complaints received from stakeholders within the Zuru emirate, which centered on allegations of a lukewarm attitude towards party activities, inadequate engagement with critics, lack of mobilization efforts, and non-compliance with established party principles and procedures. The suspensions will take immediate effect, and the deputy state chairman will serve in an acting capacity pending further directives.

Additionally, Alhaji Kabir Usman Alaramma, the commissioner for livestock development and fisheries, was also suspended from office. The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, will oversee the proper custody of government properties related to the suspended officials.
