Kebbi Governor Approves N2.11bn for Retiree Benefits

Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris approved the release of N2.11 billion for the payment of gratuities and death benefits to 772 beneficiaries, which includes retired state contract employees and former local government workers.

This approval, disclosed by the Head of Service, Malami Shakari, and signed by the Director of Administration, Rashidu Muhammad Bala, reflects the administration's commitment to the welfare of retired public servants and the families of deceased workers. The payment covers benefits accruing from September 16, 2025, to January 15, 2026.

Governor Idris emphasized the importance of timely payment of retirement benefits and reiterated his administration's resolve to prioritize the welfare of retired workers across the state. This latest approval is part of Kebbi State Government's ongoing efforts to clear outstanding retirement benefits and provide financial relief to retirees and bereaved families.
