Kebbi State and VON Strengthen Information Partnership

Alhaji Yakubu Ahmad, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information, visited Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), to advocate for a stronger information-sharing partnership. Ahmad praised VON for its extensive coverage of the upcoming 2026 Argungu Fish Festival and emphasized the need for collaboration to counter false narratives, particularly concerning security issues affecting Kebbi State and Nigeria.

He highlighted the state government's commitment to deepening its relationship with VON and exploring additional areas of cooperation in public communication. Ahmad also noted the state's achievement in fulfilling 90 percent of its campaign promises under Governor Nasir Idris, including critical infrastructure development.

Furthermore, he disclosed that Kebbi State has concluded several investment agreements with partners both within and outside Nigeria, involving projects in cement manufacturing, lithium processing, and animal husbandry with investors from Indonesia and Brazil. Ndace welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed VON's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Kebbi State Government.
