Police Rescue 75 Kidnapped Victims in Birnin Gwari

On Wednesday at approximately 5:30 PM, the Kaduna State Police Command rescued 75 individuals, including Fulani men, women, and children, who had been kidnapped by armed men in Folwaya village, near Birnin Gwari. The victims were traveling in commercial buses when they were ambushed by gunmen armed with AK-47 rifles and other sophisticated weapons.

Following the incident, the police received crucial information from the Birnin Gwari branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). A team of police operatives from the Birnin Gwari Area Command was promptly deployed to the scene.

Upon encountering the well-armed police, the abductors fled, leaving the captives unharmed. Commissioner of Police for Kaduna State, CP Rabiu Muhammad, commended the NURTW for their timely information and praised the Area Commander and his team for their effective response.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
