Amnesty International to Shame Fadahunsi Over Violent Remarks

Amnesty International has vowed to embarrass Francis Fadahunsi, the lawmaker representing Osun East Senatorial District, for his inciting remarks against members of the Accord Party. In a video, Fadahunsi urged his supporters to "kill them wherever you find them" ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election.

Isa Sanusi, the Country Director of Amnesty International Nigeria, stated in an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ that Fadahunsi would be named and shamed in the 150 countries where Amnesty operates. Sanusi emphasized that Fadahunsi's comments are exceptional and constitute a crime under both international and Nigerian law, highlighting the need for accountability among politicians.

He asserted that the advocacy of hatred cannot be tolerated and that the public must hold such politicians accountable if the government fails to do so.
