Kogi State Launches Operation to Rescue Abducted Students

The Kogi State government has launched a significant multi-agency security operation in response to the abduction of a school principal and two students during the ongoing National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations. The incident occurred at the Government Secondary School in Olowa, Dekina Local Government Area.

Governor Ahm Usman Ododo coordinated the operation, which involves the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Police Force, Kogi State Vigilante Service, and local hunters. The victims include Daniel Iyanaa, the principal, and two students, one identified as Dorca Sundai.

Initial reports indicate that five individuals were abducted, with efforts already underway to rescue the victims. The government has emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safe return of the abducted individuals and has urged residents to support security agencies by providing credible information.

The operation utilizes advanced technology to enhance its effectiveness, and the government remains resolute in safeguarding lives and property in the state.
