Kogi Forum Praises Tinubu for Appointing NPC DG

The Kogi State Political Elite Forum commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Dr Abuh Mohammed as the Director-General of the National Population Commission (NPC). The forum characterized this decision as a testament to the administration’s commitment to merit and inclusive governance.

They also acknowledged other appointments of distinguished Nigerians from Kogi State, including Prof. Ronke Bello to the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, and Engr.

Abdullahi Ibrahim Oguche as Director of Technical Services at the Rural Electrification Agency. In a statement signed by spokesman Mr.

Ojonuba Jacob, the forum expressed confidence in Dr. Mohammed’s extensive experience in national demographics, which they believe will enhance the NPC's capacity to deliver credible population data and modernize its operations.

The forum emphasized the importance of reliable demographic data for national planning and public policy, expressing optimism that Dr. Mohammed’s leadership would fulfill the commission's constitutional mandate.
