Tinubu Swears in New RMAFC and NPC Commissioners

On a recent Monday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore in six new commissioners for the National Population Commission (NPC) and the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) during a ceremony held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The newly appointed commissioners for the NPC include Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi from Ekiti State, Nasiru Mu Azu from Zamfara State, Isaka Alada Yahaya from Kwara State, Professor Sadiq Isah Radda from Katsina State, Suleiman Umar from Jigawa State, and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo from Sokoto State.

The ceremony was brief and coincided with the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC). The appointments are anticipated to strengthen the capacity of the commissions to effectively discharge their constitutional mandates, with the RMAFC overseeing revenue allocation and fiscal matters, while the NPC is responsible for managing population data and demographic planning.
