Police Operation "Ko Ay" Reduces Crime in Ogun-Lagos

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Olubod Ojajuni, announced that a special police operation, code-named "Ko Ay," has significantly reduced criminal activities in the Ogun-Lagos border area. This operation, initiated with the support of the Inspector General of Police and the Ogun State government, aims to ensure that there are no safe havens for criminals.

Ojajuni commended the officers of the Sango Ota Area Command for their efforts in maintaining peace and security, emphasizing the importance of community collaboration for successful policing. The operation has led to the arrest of 98 suspects and the dislodgment of criminal facilities, including an abandoned hotel.

ACP Olusola Oladel highlighted the command's achievements in addressing security challenges in the area, which includes heavy industrial activity and constant movement of people. The police continue to appeal for community support and cooperation to enhance operational efficiency and ensure public safety.
