Kremlin Threatens Ukraine Over UK Missile Support

On Monday, the Kremlin issued a warning regarding the UK's support for Ukraine, claiming that Britain was obstructing peace efforts by providing Kyiv with information necessary for the production of SCALP long-range missiles. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian armed forces are gathering intelligence to identify and target the production sites of such missiles.

The British government has authorized defense firm MBDA to share information on UK components used in the SCALP missile, enabling Ukraine to produce them domestically. The SCALP missile is capable of striking targets approximately 250 kilometers away.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham visited Kyiv on Ukraine’s Independence Day, pledging continued military support for Ukraine's defense against Russian threats. Burnham emphasized that despite the Kremlin's intimidation, the UK would maintain its backing for Ukraine's military efforts.
