Kuje Chairman Shekwolo Prioritizes Staff Welfare Initiatives

On Wednesday, Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, the Chairman of Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, inaugurated the council secretary, Obadiah Dogo. During the inauguration, Shekwolo pledged to prioritize staff welfare, particularly through the prompt payment of salaries and benefits.

He highlighted the importance of regular interactions with staff at the local government secretariat to understand and address their challenges. Shekwolo promised to revitalize the Rubochi secretariat and urged council staff to work diligently to meet organizational targets and improve service delivery.

Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi Kabi, a representative from the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), noted the significant challenges faced by the council but also acknowledged the opportunities for improvement in infrastructure, healthcare services, education, agriculture, and youth empowerment. The meeting also included assurances from Roselin McDonald, head of administration, and Usman Binta Rukayat, head of personnel management, that bureaucratic processes would not hinder the council's administrative efficiency.
