Kwankwaso Supports NDC Presidential Ticket Zoning

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, revealed his support for the zoning of the presidential ticket in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) during an interview on Monday. He stated that this zoning is essential for addressing Nigeria's political challenges and ensuring fairness and equity.

Kwankwaso noted that the party's leadership, which includes former governors from Bayelsa and Anambra states, has agreed that the presidency should remain in the south for four years before returning to the north. He emphasized that this zoning arrangement is necessary to reduce political tension and facilitate stability within the party.

Additionally, Kwankwaso linked the current zoning debate to the political developments following the death of former President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.
