Moro LG Leaders Demand Fairness Ahead of 2027 Elections

Leaders from the Moro Local Government Area in Kwara State, including Hon. Olatund Pascal Kolawole, Hon.

Bello Emmanuel, and Hon. Mahmud Afolabi Abdulsalam, have raised alarms regarding perceived marginalization in the political landscape.

During a press conference in Ilorin, they appealed to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to uphold fairness and justice in the electoral process leading to the 2027 general elections. The leaders highlighted that the Moro Local Government has been deprived of significant political opportunities, particularly in the context of representation in the National Assembly, where they have not occupied a seat for nearly 30 years.

They emphasized the need for political equity, urging stakeholders across the country, especially in Kwara State, to recognize the injustices faced by the people of Moro. They called for a shift in the political dynamics to ensure that the interests of the Moro Local Government are adequately represented in future governance.
