Moro Leaders Urge Tinubu to Cede APC Reps Seat

Traditional rulers and community leaders from Moro Local Government Area in Kwara State have made an appeal to President Bola Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to cede a House of Representatives seat to their area. This request was articulated during a statement in Ilorin on Tuesday, led by Chief Mathew Alabi, the chairman of the Baal Moro Forum, along with Mr.

Bolakal Yusuf, Mr. Bode Saadu, and Mr.

Ibrahim Adebara. They highlighted that the Moro Local Government Area has not benefited from elected offices in the House of Representatives or the Senate since the return to democratic rule in 1999.

The leaders expressed that despite their loyalty and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), the area has not produced a federal representative since 1999. They urged stakeholders to consider their situation and ensure fair representation for the Moro community in future political arrangements.
