APC Chairman Advocates Power Rotation in Kwara State

Princ Sundai Fagbemi, the APC chairman in Kwara State, asserted that no one district should continue to produce the governor, advocating for a rotation of power among the three senatorial districts: Kwara North, Kwara Central, and Kwara South. He highlighted that Kwara does not belong to any single district, referencing the two decades of governance from Kwara Central and eight years from Kwara South.

Fagbemi urged party members to support this rotation to promote fairness and inclusivity in governance. He expressed confidence in the APC's success in the 2027 general elections, stating that a governorship candidate would emerge victorious.

Additionally, he called for institutionalizing power rotation in Kwara State to foster a sense of belonging among the districts. Professor Hassan Salihu from the University of Ilorin supported this view, indicating that power rotation is essential for equitable development in the state.
