Group Calls for Equitable Representation for Moro LG

A group led by Mr. Gidado Babatund and Mr.

Akanbi Hawau Bukola has lamented the sidelining of indigenes from Moro Local Government Area in the House of Representatives slot in Kwara State. In a statement issued in Ilorin on Thursday, they highlighted that since the return to democracy in 1999, Moro has not produced a single representative in the House, while Patigi Local Government Area has held the seat for 12 years.

The group emphasized the importance of equitable representation in the Kwara North Senatorial District and called for the political leadership of the APC and traditional institutions to support candidates from Moro. They argued that achieving justice and fairness in political representation is essential for stability in the region, urging stakeholders to uphold these values in future elections.
