T.O.P Launches Coalition for 2027 Elections in Kwara

The Otoge Progressives (T.O.P), a coalition of political leaders and stakeholders in Kwara State, is launching the Kwara chapter of the National Rainbow Coalition as part of its strategy for the 2027 general elections. A solidarity reception for Senator Saliu Mustapha, Hon. Kolo Jiya, and other members pursuing political ambitions on platforms different from the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set for Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority (LNRBDA) in Ilorin.

Barrister Salman Jawondo, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, stated that the initiative aims to unite politicians and stakeholders from various parties around shared national interests while allowing them to maintain their political identities. T.O.P targets to secure at least 400,000 fresh votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates by deploying 20,000 polling-unit canvassers who will engage communities on issues like good governance and political inclusion.

The coalition emphasizes collaboration among members despite differing party affiliations.
