Kwara APC Aspirant Calls for Inclusion Amid Crises

Sola Ajimati, a senatorial aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara South, has expressed concerns regarding perceived exclusion in the party's decision-making processes. In a letter addressed to Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, dated Monday, he emphasized the need for inclusivity and stakeholder engagement to strengthen the party's unity and electoral success.

Ajimati acknowledged the strides made under Abdulrazaq's leadership but stressed that deeper unity and broader consultations are necessary for sustainable development within the party. He referenced recent political developments in other states, such as Ekiti and Osun, to illustrate the risks associated with unresolved internal disagreements.

Ajimati urged the governor to convene a comprehensive stakeholder meeting and establish an independent reconciliation committee to address grievances and rebuild trust within the APC in Kwara. He also called on the national leadership of the APC to investigate alleged irregularities in the Kwara South senatorial primary election held on May 18, 2026.
